Cable network, SYFY, is seeking a Development Assistant to report to the Head of Alternative Programming & Development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: heavy phones, calendar & contact management, organize pilot and series content; development research; follow trades & industry developments; manage expenses; coordinate travel; manage interns and other development and administrative duties. The Development Assistant will interface with creative executives, agents, producers and talent on a regular basis and therefore professionalism and great customer service is needed.

Requirements:
1-2 years previous Executive Assistant experience working in a fast paced department in the entertainment industry (agency experience preferred but not required). The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, proactive, self-motivated and have an interest and passion for reality programming, pop culture, as well as a great sense of humor. Knowledge of TV industry a plus. Professional phone skills, organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills as well as excellent writing skills are necessary for this position. Proven ability to interact with talent and creative executives in a courteous and professional manner. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced working environment. Proven ability to anticipate and solve problems. Strong attention to detail and ability to build relationships with internal employees as well as external clients is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. College degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is required.
