Logline: On his last day serving overseas, a marine learns the location of a lost shipment of unclaimed oil worth 100 million dollars. Once discharged and back in the states, he enlists the help of 3 long time friends to go find and sell the oil, but their simple plan goes bad when they quickly find the underbelly of the middle east and the black market oil exchange, as well as the US Navy, standing in their way…. Farah and Simpson see this as a guys guys contemporary treasure hunt movie with lots of big action set pieces, testosterone, strong elevated characters, and all based on many hours of research Simpson did on the black market oil trade and the underbelly of the Middle East and Africa.

“Armored on a ship”. Which is not a bad thing.

Hmm – the title appears to be ‘Oil Cowboys’. Which sounds like a club I’ve NEVER been to.

I don’t know, it sounds a little bit 80s to me, from the title to the concept.

A guys guys treasure hunt – testosterone and big action set pieces!
The last guys guys movie I saw was TAKEN – and me and my friends loved every second of it.
Please tell me someone is going to make this!

I wouldn’t say Taken is really a “guy’s movie” just because the hero is a bad-ass guy. I mean, my mom borrowed by dvd copy and loved the film – and she can’t stand violent movies.

I can see Roland Emmerich sized explosion at the end of this one!
